WHAT IS SISTEMICA?

Sistémica is a journal, edited in English and Spanish by The Andean Institute of Systems – IAS, aiming to disseminate concepts, techniques, methods and methodologies from Systems Thinking (Systems Engeneering, Operations Research, Systems Analysis, Decision Analysis, Cybernetics) and related disciplines (computing, informatics, telematics), applied in:

- Social Systems                                    - Political Systems

- Management systems                        - Economic Systems

- Holistic Medicine                               - Law Systems

- Technological Systems                       - Cultural System

Sistémica has arisen as a response to a world which management is becoming ever more difficult and complex. The emphasis of its articles is on the inter and transdisciplinary  application of Systems ideas to current problems, mainly in the cultural context of Latin America, but does however also include articles and transcriptions of research undertaken in other parts of the world as we consider them worthy of publishing due to their importance.

The expertise, academicism and experience of the members of is Editorial Executive Board and International Advisory Committe guarentee the state of thee art of the topics presented.
